Hueku ("Hueku," "we," "us," or "our") is a calm, late-night daily color-nonogram (Picross) puzzle game. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Hueku mobile app (the "App") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We built Hueku to be offline-first and account-free, so the short version is: most of your data never leaves your device.

01The short version
- No account required. You can play without signing up, logging in, or giving us your name or email.
- Your game data stays on your device. Progress, best times, your "nights in a row," coins, settings, and your solved-picture gallery are stored locally on your phone or tablet โ not on our servers.
- We use a small number of trusted third-party services for anonymous analytics, optional advertising, and in-app purchases. These are described below.
- We don't sell your personal information.
02Information we handle
Information stored only on your device
Because Hueku is offline-first, the following is saved locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Puzzle progress and completion state, best solve times, and your daily streak ("nights in a row").
- Your solved-picture gallery and pack/mural completion.
- In-app coin balance and your "Remove Ads" status.
- App settings (theme, reminder time, sound, and similar preferences).
If you delete the App, this on-device data is removed with it.
Information processed by third-party services
To run analytics, optional ads, and purchases, certain limited information may be processed by the providers listed in Section 4. Depending on your settings and platform, this can include:
- Usage & event data โ anonymous, aggregated events such as app opens, screens viewed, puzzles started/completed, and feature usage, used to understand how the App is enjoyed and to fix problems.
- Device & technical data โ device model, operating system version, language/region, app version, coarse region, and crash diagnostics.
- Advertising identifiers โ where ads are shown and you have consented, an advertising identifier (e.g. Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID) and related ad-interaction data.
- Purchase data โ a confirmation from Apple or Google that a purchase succeeded, used to unlock your content. We never receive your full payment-card details.
03How we use information
- To provide and run the game โ saving your progress and delivering the daily puzzle.
- To understand, in aggregate, how Hueku is used so we can improve puzzles, comfort tools, and stability.
- To diagnose crashes and technical issues.
- To show advertising (unless you've removed ads), and where required, to request your consent first.
- To process and restore in-app purchases.
- To send the optional daily "bedtime nudge" reminder you can turn on or off.
04Third-party services
Hueku relies on the following providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

We may update this list as the App evolves; the current providers will always be reflected here.
05Advertising & tracking choices
Hueku may show ads through Google AdMob to keep the game free. You stay in control:
- Remove Ads. A one-time in-app purchase removes ads entirely.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On Apple devices, the App asks for your permission before any tracking that uses your device's advertising identifier. If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized using that identifier. You can change this anytime in Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Tracking.
- Consent (EEA, UK & similar regions). Where required, we present a consent prompt (via Google's UMP) before personalized ads are shown, and honor your choice. You can reset consent from the App's settings.
- Android. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings.
06In-app purchases
Hueku offers optional purchases such as Remove Ads and coin packs. Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google through your store account โ we do not see or store your payment-card information. Purchases can be restored from within the App. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
07Notifications
If you opt in, Hueku schedules a gentle daily reminder (a "bedtime nudge") on your device. These are local notifications generated on the device itself โ there is no push server and no message content is sent to us. You can turn reminders off in the App's settings or in your device's notification settings at any time.
08Your choices & rights
- Reset your data. Clear your progress from within the App's settings, or delete the App to remove all on-device data.
- Control ads & tracking. See Section 5.
- Control notifications. See Section 7.
- Access, correct, or delete. Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to object to certain processing. Since we don't hold an account for you, most of this is handled directly on your device; for anything held by a provider, contact us and we'll help route the request.
- Do Not Sell/Share. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense defined by California law beyond the ad-personalization choices described above.
09Children's privacy
Hueku is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we'll take appropriate steps to delete it.
10Data retention
On-device data persists until you clear it or uninstall the App. Information processed by our providers is retained according to their own policies โ analytics data is typically retained in aggregated or anonymized form, and advertising data per the provider's retention schedule.
11Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, and we rely on established providers (Apple, Google) for the limited data they handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but keeping your game data on your own device means there's very little for anyone else to reach.
12International users
Our service providers may process limited data on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (for example, the data-transfer mechanisms used by Apple and Google).
13Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll provide a more prominent notice within the App. Continuing to use Hueku after an update means you accept the revised policy.
